Volunteer Code of Conduct:

1. The Whatcom Action Patrol is in NO way sexual or dating related. Volunteers will not enter a client’s home under any circumstance.
2. While on patrol or conducting a walk home, no volunteer will consume alcoholic beverages or any other illicit substance.
3. During an accompaniment, our client is our boss. At any time a client may ask us to leave and we will happily abide.
4. The Whatcom Action Patrol welcomes all individuals as clients and volunteers, regardless of race, class, gender, or sexual orientation.
5. No money will be exchanged between volunteer and client for walk-home or patrol services. Donations toward the organization are always welcome.
6. All volunteers are committed to strengthening and empowering the community, encouraging community reliance and deconstructing sexist, racist, classist and other
oppressive systems and dynamics. Volunteers represent the community at all times.
